2.A portrait of the author as a young man

The inspiration for the title name of this blog site really came from Edward Gorey. The late great Gorey was an illustrator who created such wonderful works like "the Gashly Crumb Tinies" and who lived and died in New York or so I believe. Anyway much of his stuff had curious names and the avuncular vowel struck me as the sort of nonsense word play he might use. Then, after a little bit of a think, I changed it from vowel to meme. Unfortunately after I created this site, I noticed a lot of people use the word avuncular and so what I thought was original sounding looks increasingly banal.
